Letter from the Pastor
Dear Friends and Partners,
This is Pastor Jarron C. O'Neal of Fountain of Love Christian Center reaching out to you with an awesome praise report! You are receiving this letter because I believe you to be a true friend to me and partner of our ministry. We took a leap of faith in February 2014, and we walked into a brand new worship facility! We moved from a 10,000 sqft., 220-seat sanctuary to a 32,000 sqft. worship facility. Our new sanctuary now seats over 1,000 congregants! As you can see, the Lord has certainly enlarged our territory.
We are so amazed by the faithfulness of our God and humbled that He has placed this awesome building under our stewardship. This is the result of unshakeable faith, hard work, and the partnership of faithful people like yourself. Fountain of Love has been experiencing exponential growth and increase in significant areas of the ministry, but I know this is just the beginning of what God wants to do.
At this time, I have my sights set on the FUTURE… The Fountain Future Center to be exact! The Future Center is a 10,000 sqft. Youth and Community Center that we have proposed to the City of Pomona. The Future Center will be located in the middle section of our new worship facility as identified below.
Habakkuk 2:2 says, "…Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it."
King James Version
Well, God has given me a vision and a divine strategy to accomplish it, and I have already shared it with the members of Fountain of Love. Now, I want to share it with you, our ministry friends and partners, so that you will run with us! My wife, Lady Crystal, and I are committed to young people, community, and those that need a fresh start. Therefore, the vision for The Future Center can be summed up in three C's:
We are so excited about fulfilling this vision, and we hope to ignite some of that excitement in you. We want to transform lives, empower people, and make a positive impact on the next generation. That is why we call it The Future Center! As I'm sure you can tell, this vision requires a large multi-functional space. I asked the Lord for a divine design that would accommodate this vision. Through much prayer, counsel, and our amazing architects, we have come up with the proposed design of The Future Center below.
As you can see, The Future Center is going to be awesome! Yes, this is a major undertaking, but is there anything too hard for our God? This is one of the biggest construction projects that we have taken on at Fountain of Love, but I'm fired up! I feel like David when he said, "Your servant has killed both a lion and a bear and this giant Philistine shall be as one of them" (1 Samuel 17:36)! We are going to knock this "giant" down like we have done every other project God has given us. By faith, I decree that this project will be completed on time and under budget!
Our contractor has informed me that the cost to construct The Future Center is approximately $675,000.00. Much of that cost is due to the mechanical, electrical and plumbing infrastructure, also known in the construction industry as MEP's. We are ultimately believing God to do this entire project debt free, but we have some interim financing strategies in place. With external financing, Fountain of Love is only responsible for raising $350,000.00!
Now, I know that you are in faith with me, but I also know that James 2:17 says, "Faith without works is dead." So on September 6, 2015, the Fountain of Love membership will put its faith to work by bringing an extraordinary offering to build the Lord's House. We call it Super Sunday! Our Super Sunday capital campaign has already raised $170,000.00 in pledges in just 2 months! I would like to give you, our ministry friends and partners, an opportunity to join us by adding your faith with ours to reach our goal of $350,000.00!
We have used our Super Sunday capital campaigns to accomplish every one of our ministry construction objectives. We have had great success because of our faith, unity, and liberality in giving. The FOLCC financial philosophy is based on Romans 13:8, "Owe no man anything but love to him." Super Sunday has allowed us to complete the majority of our construction projects debt free. The FOLCC Executive Board is committed to finish our construction project with minimal external financing. We know that with God on our side nothing will be impossible to those that believe!
In addition to our members, I am calling on all the "Kings" to help us conquer this goal. I am asking all ministry partners, fellow pastors, business owners, and entrepreneurs to prayerfully consider joining us in this endeavor. This following Bible passage gives insight to our giving strategy:
2 Chronicles 24:8-11 8 Joash gave orders for a wooden box to be made and had it placed outside, near the gate of the temple. 9 He then sent letters everywhere in Judah and Jerusalem, asking everyone to bring their taxes to the temple, just as Moses had required their ancestors to do. 10 The people and their leaders agreed, and they brought their money to Jerusalem and placed it in the box. 11 Each day, after the Levites took the box into the temple, the king's secretary and the high priest's assistant would dump out the money and count it. Then the empty box would be taken back outside. This happened day after day, and soon a large amount of money was collected. Contemporary English Version
King Joash had letters sent to the people concerning the church building project. He then provided a box for them to place their offerings in day by day, and the people responded by giving more than enough to repair the House of the Lord. We are using this historical account as our biblical precedent, so in like fashion, I have sent you our letter informing you of the objectives of our building project. We are prayerfully asking you to join us in donating toward The Future Center between September 6, 2015 and November 1, 2015. Now, I have proposed a giving strategy below based on the size of our congregation and the pledges we have already received. You may give whatever your heart desires, and I trust that you will follow the Lord's leading as always, but in keeping with our strategy, I have placed some suggestions below so that we meet our goal of $350,000.00.
Again, these suggested amounts are carefully calculated based upon our historical donation trends. No matter what amount you give, we will be very grateful and put it toward The Future Center project. We are recognized as a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, so you will receive a donation letter at the end of the year that you may use to deduct from your taxes. Fountain of Love has a 28-year track record of serving the community and supporting others. My father, the late Bishop James M. O'Neal, Ph.D., always taught me this principle: "What you help make happen for others, God will make happen for you." We're asking you to help us make it happen!
We would like you to make your donation between September 6, 2015 and November 1, 2015 so that we can adhere to our construction schedule. We would also like to acknowledge those who give. If you cannot attend on Super Sunday, you're giving at a later date, or simply out of the area, we would like you to make a video of your donation to The Future Center project. Please send a quality video message to firstname.lastname@example.org that simply states: your name, city and state, "I'm looking forward to the Future," and your donation amount. We will play these before the congregation so that everyone will be excited about the friends and partners joining us from across the nation. Your email will also give us an opportunity to send you your contribution statement at the end of the year as well as invite you to the Grand Opening of The Future Center.
Lady Crystal and I have made our pledge, and I'm grateful that you are considering joining us to touch this community with the love of Jesus Christ. I appreciate you, and I pray God's favor and blessings over you, your family and your business. Thank you for your time!
