Saundra O’Neal arrived on the heels of the Watts Riot with her five siblings from Bogalusa, Louisiana. Her mother seeking refuge and a better life from an abusive husband came to California. Her mother worked an evening shift at a nursing home while Saundra babysits. As a young girl she determined to rise above the stranglehold of poverty. She received Christ at the age of 11 years old and began to write songs and help direct the children’s choir. Saundra met and married her late husband James at St. John Church of God in Christ. They were married for 34 years and have two sons, J. Michael, of La Verne University Graduate and Jarron C. O’Neal of Cal State Pomona graduate. Dr. James and Mrs. O’Neal founded Accounting Management Services in 1983. They founded Fountain of Love Christian Fellowship in 1987 and BOLD Ministries International in 1994. Saundra founded The Youth Word Explosion an effective yearly conference ministry to youth 12 – 19 years of age. As a Christian wife and mother she has always promoted …family first then ministry. Saundra graduated from Pepperdine University with dual degrees in Psychology and Sociology. She worked for the Los Angeles Department of Social Services as Children Services Workers for Battered and Abused Children. Her extensive community service includes unwed mothers, voter registration, counseling and placement services for homeless families. She is a certified Life Skills and Life Coach for teens and young adults. Saundra was called to ministry at the age of 14 years of age. She was very active in her local church and took on a leadership role as a teenager. She began a high school ministry during lunch in the choir room where both students and faculty attended. She held prayer meetings in the basement the old Pepperdine University dorm now known as Crenshaw Christian Center. Several of the attendees of these meetings are in full time ministry today. Saundra has traveled both home and abroad teaching the word of God with power and authority. She has been a key note speaker for both church and civic events. Her international ministry trips include Zambia, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Saundra is a member of an International Apostolic and Prophetic Roundtable that meets yearly for promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This has afforded her the opportunity to meet people from around the globe. Many of these precious people had never seen a black woman teach and preach except on television. She has also received invitations from Jamaica, Thailand and Sri Lanka. Saundra has received both national and international recognition for ministry and Holy Spirit prophetic insights into church, world and secular matters. In 2003 Saundra was asked to minister at the last minute for the Roundtable in the United Kingdom. As a result of that in 2004 a team of ministers from the United Kingdom came to America for the sole purpose of ordaining Saundra into an International Prophetic Ministry. She was asked to be the female representative to the women of Zambia. In February of 2006, Dr. James M. O’Neal went home to be with the Lord, and Saundra faithfully took over the Pastoral duties until February of 2007. During this challenging and difficult transition the ministry did not lose but actually continued to grow in membership. Then, on February 25, 2007 Jarron C. O’Neal, was installed as the Senior Pastor of what is now Fountain of Love Christian Center, in Pomona, California. Saundra continues as the Associate Pastor at the Fountain of Love.
